John Lennon - Lennonono Concert Reunion Landed Elton John Godfather Role

JOHN LENNON insisted SIR ELTON JOHN was named his son SEAN's godfather because he was responsible for reuniting the former BEATLE and YOKO ONO.

Lennon had split from Ono while he was recording Whatever Gets You Through the Night with Elton in 1974, and the couple reconciled when the Rocket Man star persuaded his pal to join him onstage at a concert in New York.

Elton landed the Lennon guest spot at a show after betting the Beatle the album they had worked on would hit the top of the U.S. charts - and it did.

He recalls, "I said to John, `I'll play on your record (but) if it goes to number one, you have to come onstage with me...' He never thought the record would go to number one."

Introducing Lennon onstage and playing live with his hero made for a magical night for Elton.

He adds, "I'd never heard a reception like it... It was such an incredible outpouring of affection.

"That was the night John and Yoko got back together. They remet at that concert and that's why I became Sean's godfather."

Britney Spears has spoken of her happiness at working as a guest star on the US comedy series 'How I Met Your Mother'.
Reuters reports that Spears is playing a dermatologist's secretary called Abby on the show.
In a statement released by the show's makers CBS, Spears said: Working at 'How I Met Your Mother' has been so terrific. Everyone, including the cast, the crew and the producers, has been wonderful and Abby is such a fun girl to play. I'm having a blast!"
The episode guest starring Spears is expected to air on US TV on 24 March.

Latino knocker Fat Joe (aka Fat Joe da Gangsta, Joey Crack, and his real name, Joe Cartagena) was raised in the South Bronx area of New York. In summation, he signed a production and distribution deal with Atlantic Records and Mystic Entertainment (which he ran with a partner named Big Greg). 1998 power saw the dismission of Fat Joe's debut for Atlantic, Don Cartagena, which featured cameo appearances by the likes of Puff Daddy, Nas, Raekwon, Big Pun, and Jadakiss (the LOX), following it up in 2001 with Jealous Ones Still Envy (J.O.S.E.), which included contributions from Ludacris, Petey Pablo, M.O.P., R. Kelly, and Remy. Loyalty followed in 2002, and All or Nothing arrived trey years after that. The natural Me, Myself and I from 2006 ground the rapper on his have Terror Squad depression, which was distributed by EMI.

George Takei - Koenig To Be Takeis Best Man

Gay actor GEORGE TAKEI will wed his longtime partner in September (08) - and has chosen his STAR TREK co-star WALTER KOENIG as his best man.

The 71-year-old star - known for his role as Sulu in the 1960s sci-fi series - will wed partner Brad Altman this summer (08), after California state authorities lifted the ban on same-sex marriage last month (15May08).

Takei will marry his partner of 20 years on 14 September (08) and has invited his former castmates to the ceremony.

He tells People.com, "The best man is my colleague from Star Trek, Walter Koenig, who played Chekov, and the matron of honour is Nichelle Nichols (Lt. Uhura). And Leonard (Nimoy) and his wife Susan are on the (guest) list."

And Takei hopes the ceremony will be more romantic than his proposal.

He explains, "We knew that the Supreme Court was going to be coming down with their ruling. (We'd heard) that it was probably going to be positive. So I was planning on asking Brad to get married.

"We were at home in the kitchen and we had the TV going, and when the word came down suddenly Brad got on his knees in front of me. And I said, 'What are you doing?' He said, 'George, will you marry me?' I said 'Yes. You beat me to it. I meant to ask you.'"
