Formed in late 2000, their unrecorded shows began to receive notice early on, thanks in no small character to the large stuffed birds that perched on phase and the militaristic uniforms worn by the band members. Rough Trade's Geoff Travis was taken aback by nonpareil of the group's (literally) groundless performances and sign them; by the end of 2001, they had 2 singles in the racks: Fear of Drowning on Golden Chariot and Remember Me on Rough Trade. After an amazing show window at SXSW in 2003, British Sea Power prepped for the fall firing of The Decline of British Sea Power. Open Season follwed in 2005.

Guns N' Roses in talks over US retail store album release

Guns N Roses' longsighted awaited record album could be set to be released exclusively through and through retail stores in the US.

Wal-Mart and Best Buy are thought to be leading talks to procure 'Chinese Democracy's' release.

Guns N Roses ar currently managed by Irving Azoff's Front Line Management, and Azoff has consistently released albums through retailers in the US including The Eagles' 'Long Road Out of Eden', which was released through Wal-Mart.


The band ar also believed to be in negotiations for a more schematic release of the album worldwide, reports Billboard.


As previously reported on NME.COM the band experience already confirmed that a new song, 'Shackler's Revenge' will feature on the forthcoming video recording game 'Rock Band 2'.


Frontman Axl Rose has been working on 'Chinese Democracy' for the past 14 years.
